20.2a Mr. D. Conquer the CAASPP

Teacher Monitoring - For this program to be successful, we need all HSTs to monitor their students weekly and follow-up as needed.

1. Check Mr. D's Progress Report Weekly to see if your students are working.

• If you need to check between Monday updates you can use Monitoring Mr. D’s for HSTs (ONLY).

2. Congratulate students that are moving ahead in the program and reach out to those that are not. Offer to walk them through a lesson or host a group session, so they can see how easy it is!

3. Use the following email templates or create your own. Every HST has a different and creative way to encourage students or congratulate them. If you have an email template that would help others, please email it to testing@missionvistaacademy.org to get it added.

4. Please make sure all your students know about this contest.

• Mr. D has a new exciting contest for students in Conquer the CAASPP course.
  • Those who are at Level 3 or higher by January 9th, will be entered into a drawing to win a $10 Amazon gift card.
• There will be 50 randomly selected winners from Math classes and 50 randomly selected winners from ELA classes. The $10 Amazon gift cards will be delivered by email.
• Winners will be announced at the student assemblies on January 10th, February 9th, and March 8th at 10 a.m. Zoom link
